How to get there

By plane

Rome has two main airports: Fiumicino airport “Leonardo da Vinci”, 26-km south-west of Rome, is the airport for both international and domestic air services and Ciampino airport, 13-Km south-east of Rome, is a small airport used mainly for domestic flights and international charter flights.

Railways connections from Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport to Rome:
  • “Leonardo Express” is a non-stop train that connects Roma Termini and Fiumicino Airport in about 30 minutes. Departures daily every 30 minutes from 7.08 am until 23.38 pm. Price: 14,00€.
  • Metropolitan train connects Fiumicino Airport with Roma Trastevere, Roma Ostiense, Roma Tuscolana and Roma Tiburtina Stations (Fara Sabina/Orte direction). Price: 8,00€.
    From Roma Tiburtina Station you can reach Roma Termini Station in 4 stops of subway Metro B (Laurentina direction).
Connections from Ciampino Airport to Rome:
There is a bus service that runs about every 20 minutes during the day (less frequent at night) and connects Ciampino airport to Termini station in about 40 minutes.

By train

Rome can be reached via the high speed trains and other railway lines that link Termini Station with the most important Italian and international cities.
